Put These Bug-Repelling Mason Jars Outside and You Might Not See a Mosquito All Summer Long

As much as we love summer, the pesky mosquito and other creatures which accompany it simply cannot be neglected. Not only do mosquitoes cause troubles when we try to enjoy outdoors, but the recent Zika virus epidemic is yet another reason to ward off these pests.

Even though the store-bought sprays are effective at keeping these pests at bay, many of them contain DEET, a chemical which has been found to cause various health issues, such as skin irritation, allergic reactions, and even nervous system interference.
